Courses

Our educational series provides you with the knowledge and skills to enhance your team practice. Workshops are offered throughout the year. In order to model interactive interprofessional practice, all courses are co-facilitated by Barbara Casson and Marcia Choi.

I. Confidently Facilitating Team Meetings

The litmus test for a team’s health and effectiveness is the quality of its meetings and discussions.

This one-day course will prepare you to effectively facilitate a group or team through any meeting or discussion. This course is designed for professionals who are interested in increasing the effectiveness of team meetings, and building their confidence facilitating them.

II. The Path to Productive Interprofessional Teams

High performing teams don’t happen by chance. They intentionally place high value on relationships, communication and clarity, and their culture asks 'How can we do better?'

This one-day course will provide participants with strategies to strengthen and improve the overall effectiveness of their team. This course Is appropriate for professionals currently on teams or leading teams.

III. Intentional Leadership of Interprofessional Teams

Team leadership is not equal to team management. Leadership is influencing through relationships – it is a way of being, and not just connected to a position or a job description.

This session will focus on understanding and leading in a multigenerational and multidisciplinary workforce, and will be suited to new or current leaders wishing to elevate their leadership practice.

IV. Interprofessional Communication Essentials

In this session the focus will be on developing the interpersonal behaviours and communication strategies that build trust and form effective and collaborative working relationships.

Cancellation Policy;
A 100% refund or full credit towards future Centre of Learning course granted for cancellations received 30 calendar days prior to course date. An 80% refund granted up to 7 calendar days prior to course date. No refunds will be granted for cancellations received after cancellation cut-off date. If you are unable to attend, you may send a substitute by submitting the person’s name and contact information by email.
